The setting of the Old Testament Book of Joshua is exciting and dramatic.  For 40 years the Israelites had wandered in the wilderness because they had failed to trust God.  But then suddenly they stood on the threshold of a second chance at experiencing all that God had given them! 

All they had to do was Step out. into the Promised Land to claim their inheritance!  But that can be a scary step.

Have you ever missed an opportunity to experience the abundant life God has given you?  Have you yearned for another chance to claim it? When God gives you another chance don't you want to be ready so that you don't miss it again? 

When you stand at the point of stepping out in faith, you might not be able to see your pathway clearly... the trail might look rugged and frightening... the obstacles in your way may seem overwhelming.  But as God teaches you through this study, you will come to desire what God has for you so much that you will be willing to trust Him completely so that you can experience all that He has waiting for you on the journey... and in the Promised Land of your abundant life.
